Integration of SiC Devices and High-Frequency Transformer for High-Power Renewable Energy Applications

This paper presents a novel structure of Integrated SiC MOSFETs with high-frequency transformer (I-SiC-HFT) for various high-power isolated DC–DC converters. Several resonant converters are considered integration in this paper, including the phase-shift full-bridge (PSFB) converter, inductor–inductor–capacitor (LLC) bidirectional PSFB and capacitor–inductor–inductor–capacitor (CLLC) converter. The applications I-SiC-HFT focused on V2G EV battery charging systems, energy storage DC AC microgrids, renewable systems. devices, MOSFETs, Schottky diodes, MOSFET modules, used I-SiC-HFT. magnetic uses distributed ferrite cores to form large central space accommodate devices. optimized architecture heatsink is proposed thermal management To prove concept, small-scale 1.5 kW prototype demonstrate basic performance indicators through FEM based electromagnetic simulation converter experiments.
